The Affiliated High School of Peking University International Culture Festival

The first Affiliated High School of Peking University International Culture Festival was inaugurated on November 30th. The aim of the International Culture Festival is to encourage domestic and international students and teachers to use their passion and wisdom to connect with the world and understand splendid global civilizations.

The Principal of the Affiliated High School of Peking University, Mr. Ma Yuguo, delivered his speech, proposing that the first Affiliated High School of Peking University International Culture Festival will inherit the spirit of the Peking University International Culture Festival, providing a platform for cultural exchange and mutual learning, promoting the integration and mutual enhancement of different cultures. Ms. Erfa Iqbal, Commissioner Inland Revenue of Pakistan, Former Commercial Counsellor of the Pakistan Embassy to China, and Former Director-General, Protocol Department, MFA, Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC in the Hellenic Republic and Ireland, Former Consul General (Ambassadorial Rank) of the PRC in San Francisco: Mr. Luo Lin Quan also delivered speeches to emphasize the importantce of language study and global vision. Chinese and international teachers and students from the Affiliated High School of Peking University brought vivid traditional Chinese music, Kunqu opera performances, and street dance performances.


After the opening ceremony, the International Culture Festival transitioned into its carnival. With a total of 20 booths, the carnival shows splendid cultures in different regions and countries. During the carnival, students expanded their horizons through activities such as quizzes, trying on exotic attire, learning a different language or accent, and savoring local cuisine.


As pioneers in cultural education, the Affiliated High School of Peking University International Culture Festival will continue to serve as a platform for cultural exchange, fostering face-to-face interactions between our students and diverse world cultures.
