On Aug.28th, in the freshman orientation, Senior 1 students got the opportunity to meet all the teachers in different departments and learn about the personality and expertise of all the tutors, so they could choose their individualized tutor based on their interests and future majors. Dr. Zhang Weibo, Curriculum Development Coordinator, introduced the course selection system, credit requirements, and the relationship between course selection and future professional development, initiating students to figure out their interests, strengths, and growth path.
In addition to getting familiar with faculty and curriculum, it is essential to build a close bond among students. Senior 1 students in Xinmin and Zhishan House (student autonomy organization) experienced their future life in The Affiliated High School of Peking University through mock House Meeting and mock Drama Festival, strengthening their connections with each other and a spirit of cooperation.
